🔔 Create a person detection alarm

Receive a push notification or email every time a person is detected on an IP camera.



Common use cases include:

  1. A person is seen onsite, after closing time.
  2. A person is seen in restricted area.


Create a person alarm

  1. On the Aware web app 🖥️, navigate to Settings, select your Location and click on Alarms.

  2. Click on the blue Add alarm button in the top right corner to bring up the alarm configuration page.

    1. Give your alarm a name. This will appear in the Detail view of every event that triggers the alarm.

    2. Select Detection - Person as the Alarm type.

    3. Select the cameras you'd like to use for this alarm. You can select one or more to look for alarm-worthy events.

    4. Define a schedule for the alarm. You can opt to be alerted on specific dates/times, or all day

    5. Define which team member(s) to notify when the criteria are met. Remember that it's up to each user to define their notification preferences.

    6. [Optional] Decide whether to post alerts on one or more Slack channels, in addition to traditional notifications (email and push).

  3. Click Create to save your changes and enable your alarm - you should see a green banner indicating so. Your alarm will be triggered as soon as your criteria are met.
